“ …art doesn’t have to mean anything to be good… and sometimes it’s better when it doesn’t, but I feel like there is a greater issue at hand given that much of the nowish art I see seems to aspire to not just “no meaning” but to being meaning-proof, which is foreboding, to put it mildly.
