When the US Air Force recently loosed 45,000 kilograms of bombs on a small Sunni farming district in Iraq, there was hardly a peep. These days, only “insurgent” suicide bombings warrant media attention, while the US’s air “surge” is politely played down.

IMHO, of course. I know it might seem suspicious that I’ve ranked the rarest of the pile as the best— but trust me, it’s the track lengths on “Versions” that nail it for me, not the preciousness.  Not that I haven’t played Quadrange twice as many times—- that’s the superior edition if you primarily listen to music while you read (easily) but if you throw in traveling, going towards, doing chores, etc., I think “Versions” is very possibly Ae’s best album ever. (This is coming from a guy who got on the train at ENVANE and initially hated CONFIELD, in case that’s pertinent.)
